I have read a number of insightful, thought provoking, expertly written blogs over the years. They have enlightened and challenged me in their carefully chosen words. So I admit that I practically recoil at calling what I am doing here 'a blog.' I know how rambling, shabby and lazy it might end up appearing.
With that in mind, here is the framework for this blog.
- I make no pretense to be original, exhaustive or an expert on any topic about which I write.
- I do not presume to always be right or that my point of view is the only legitimate one.
- Like everyone, I and my views are products of my culture, generation, heritage, education, experiences and prejudices.
- I respect the reader's right to disagree with anything I write, but I am under no obligation to post your views.
- I will block any post that is uncivil, discourteous or indecent, at my own discretion.
- I admit that I am idealistic in many ways, and yet, on occasion I may compromise those ideas for the sake of pragmatism.
- There is no limit to the topics I may write about, but typically you can expect me to address politics, religion and society.
- My views and awareness on a multitude of topics have evolved over the decades and likely are still in a stage of flux. In short, I am still walking an unfinished path and the twists and turns are unpredictable.
